For the locals - does Steppin Out seem a bit disappointing this year compared to prior years? Sure the construction along College Ave doesn't help, but even so it feels like there are less vendors, and less exciting stuff to see. Several booths we were anticipating visiting weren't there, and the food was not to the level I was used to.
Still, we saw some awesome musicians, ran into people I haven't seen in a while, and had a generally fun time. We signed up at the Obama headquarters booth to volunteer this season. Ate a funnel cake with some organic Capri Sun-style juice box. Saw cool things that were out of our price range. We may head back tomorrow, though I don't know if the bigger crowds will be a pro or con.
